Service Description

Long training sessions and races place very different demands on fueling and hydration than everyday workouts. Endurance Athlete Fueling at MV Health & Wellness is built for runners, triathletes, cyclists, ultra runners, and obstacle-course racers who want a practical plan for training and race day.

I bring both coaching perspective and first-hand endurance experience to this service. I have raced 50K trail events and Spartan Trifecta weekends and am training toward full-distance IRONMAN racing. That experience does not replace sports-nutrition research, but it does shape the practical side of the conversation: a fueling plan has to work while you are moving, under fatigue, and with the stomach you actually have.

What We Build

  • Review of your race calendar, training load, and current fueling habits

  • Carbohydrate strategy for long training sessions and race day

  • Fluid and sodium/electrolyte planning

  • Gut-training strategy for longer sessions

  • Race-week and pre-race meal planning

  • Recovery nutrition

  • Product guidance for gels, drink mixes, electrolytes, and ketone products, including practical pros and cons

Practice Before Race Day

The goal is not to create a plan on paper and try it for the first time on race morning. Your fueling strategy should be practiced during training so you can learn what amounts, timing, flavors, textures, and products you tolerate.

We can use your event, expected duration, current routine, and training experience to create a starting strategy and identify what you need to test. The plan can then be refined as you learn how your body responds.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Who is this for? Marathon and ultra runners, triathletes, cyclists, obstacle-course racers, and other athletes preparing for long-duration events.

  2. Will you tell me exactly which products to use? We can compare practical options, but the goal is to build a strategy that works for you rather than force one brand or product.

  3. Should I practice the plan before my race? Yes. Fueling and hydration should be tested during training rather than introduced for the first time on race day.

  4. Is this medical nutrition therapy? No. This service provides general endurance-fueling education and planning, not medical nutrition therapy.
